Sound Balancing Session (12 & Under)

While Dani works on her Biofield Tuning Certification she offers 'Sound Balancing Sessions', bodywork appointments with Instrumental Tuning Forks on and near the body, typically of shorter duration than what will be offered during Biofield Tuning Sessions.

DURATION: 40 MINUTES

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Women who are pregnant, individuals undergoing active cancer treatments, and those with a pacemaker.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR VISIT:

This session begins with a bit of talk time to discuss current happenings of your mind and body (for example: pain, anxiety, or general stuckness that doesn't seem to be moving using other modalities). After a quick picture of your current state you'll lie comfortably on the massage table while Dani uses various Tuning Forks to introduce real time vibrational frequencies to your body, and within the energetic field around your body. 

WHAT IS AN INSTRUMENTAL TUNING FORK?

A tuning fork is a U-shaped, two-pronged metal instrument that produces a pure, fixed musical tone when struck. Because it maintains a consistent, reliable pitch regardless of environmental changes, it is primarily used as an acoustic standard to calibrate musical instruments (Merrium-Webster). When one strikes a tuning fork, a sound fills the environment, allowing one to properly tune a musical instrument through the act of resonation.

WHAT IS A VIBRATIONAL FREQUENCY?

According to ScienceDirect :

• Mechanical Vibrations: The number of times a physical object (like a guitar string or a tuning fork) oscillates per second.
• Molecular/Quantum Frequencies: In chemistry, atoms within molecules constantly vibrate against one another. The frequency of absorbed radiation corresponding to these energy transitions is typically expressed in wavenumbers (eg: \(cm^{-1}\))

HOW MIGHT TUNING FORKS HELP THE BODY?

Researchers have known for quite some time that the body is more than just a physical, chemical, and biological machine. The body, as proven scientifically, is also an energetic instrument, or an energetic machine. Similar to a man-made musical machine, such as a piano or violin, the body naturally receives frequencies, emits frequencies, and enacts, creatively, based upon those energetic frequencies within and around it's 'field'. Trained practitioners in the field of Sound Therapy choose from an array of tuning forks, with their various tones, hums, and vibrations, to bring forth each unique frequency into and around the body instrument in order to promote proper balance, good health, and a clearer mind through the act of resonation, or by 'tuning-in'.
